RIDE KANUGA BIKE PARK PRIVATE USE RESPONSIBILITY CODE

MOUNTAIN BIKING INVOLVES THE POSSIBILITY OF SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJURY OR DEATH. 

 

This Private Use Responsibility Code is intended to provide general guidance for your safety and the safety of others while enjoying the Ride Kanuga Bike Park. By your use of the Ride Kanuga Bike Park property, you agree that you and others within your control will strictly follow this code.

 

  1. HELMETS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL USERS and other protective equipment, such as gloves and pads are strongly recommended. 


  2. NO USE OF THE BIKE PARK IS PERMITTED UNTIL THE BIKE PARK ACCEPTANCE OF RISK FORM (ridekanuga.com/waiver)  HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND PROPERLY SIGNED. 


  3. DRIVERS/OPERATORS OF PRIVATE SHUTTLE VEHICLE MUST SIGN THIS AGREEMENT AND THE BIKE PARK ACCEPTANCE OF RISK FORM (ridekanuga.com/waiver)


  4. NEVER RIDE IF YOU ARE IMPAIRED BY ALCOHOL OR OTHER SUBSTANCES. 


  5. COPPERHEAD ROAD IS MUTLI-USE. BOTH BICYCLES AND RIDE KANUGA MAINTENANCE VEHICLES/MACHINES WILL BE ACTIVELY OPERATING ON THE ROAD


  6. THERE ARE SEREVAL TRAIL CROSSINGS ALONG COPPERHEAD ROAD. DRIVER MUST LOOK UPHILL FOR TRAIL USERS AT ALL TIMES


  7. DRIVERS MUST YIELD TO ALL RIDERS/USERS. THIS INCLUDES RIDERS/USERS ON COPPERHEAD ROAD AND THE TRAILS THAT CROSS IT

  8. Trails and the condition of trails and features constantly change, inspection runs are highly recommended. DO NOT RIDE ON ANY TRAILS OR FEATURES THAT ARE CLOSED. 


  9. Obey all warning and direction signs. NEVER RIDE UP A DOWNHILL TRAIL OR DOWN AN UPHILL TRAIL. 

 

  1. NEVER RIDE ON THE PUBLIC ROAD (Kanuga Lake Road). 

 

  1. DO NOT BLOCK OR IMPEDE TRAILS OR FEATURES, if necessary pull off the trail. 

  1. Be courteous and look out for others. 


  2. The Bike Park may close during inclement weather. Seek shelter in the case of bad weather. 

 

  1. Excessive noise, boisterous conduct, and profanity are prohibited in the park. Ride Kanuga reserves the right to refuse use of the trails by any person. 

 

  1. Anyone on the Ride Kanuga Bike Park property must sign the waiver.

 

  1. No dogs are allowed on the trails.
