Ongoing series taking a deep dive into one specific skill for maximum development.
Topic: SKILLS AND DRILLS FOR BETTER RIDING
Saturday April 22nd, 10am-12pm
Join us for this ongoing series where we pick one skill or maneuver per clinic and take a deep dive into the specifics of how to do it, give tons of progressive practice, and lots of individual feedback to maximize rider development.
SKILLS AND DRILLS FOR BETTER RIDING: Learn drills that can be practiced (almost) anywhere! In this clinic, we’ll introduce and guide you through a series of drills that will make you a better rider. These simple tasks to practice are effective ways to progress your ability, comfort, confidence on the bike. After the clinic, you’ll be able to keep practicing on your own to keep learning! Possible skills covered:
Wheel Lifts (Front, Rear, Level Lift, “Stick Test”)
Slow speed balance drills (Track Stand, Ratchet Pedal)
Rock Dodge
Cornering Drills (Angulation or “Bike Body Separation”)
Body Position practice
Braking Drills
Tire Flick
This clinic is great for beginner to intermediate level riders who want to learn drills to practice on their own to progress their own skills in their own time.
Maggie Rumley is a PMBIA Level 1 instructor, Wilderness First Responder, and Outdoor Educator who is dedicated to improving your skills and confidence on the trail for maximum fun.
We’ll start with an intro to listen to your previous experience and goals, then set expectations and a plan for the clinic
