Smooth out your cornering to speed up.
Sunday May 21st, 9:30am-12:30pm
Do you get hung up and lose speed on corners? Learn how to use body position, pressure control and brake application to smooth out and speed up your cornering!
MTB Skills Factory presents a clinic to help you learn, or refine your cornering technique. We will cover balance & weight distribution, line choice, traction control, and brake application so you can carry speed through the corners.
Riders who are just starting to learn to corner better will learn proper body position and technique while getting plenty of repeatable practice.
Intermediate and advanced level will benefit from refining their fundamental skills while learning ways to carry speed while maintaining control and traction.
Whitney Houck is a PMBIA certified instructor dedicated to improving your skills and confidence on the trail for maximum fun.
We’ll start with an intro to listen to your previous experience and goals, then set expectations and a plan for the clinic
Then, we’ll move into a skills assessment and move through the essential pre-requisite skills including Body Position / Balance and experimenting with Bike-Body separation
We’ll start in the skills area’s flat & bermed corners to get lots of practice with using these skills.
Then we’ll take it to some longer & steeper corners on Green rated trails here at Kanuga.
